I grew up in Wilmette, IL, a suburb about 30 minutes north of Chicago. I studied radio/television production at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. After graduating in 2001, I moved back to Chicago and started my career in advertising post-production. After working for a company that edited TV commercials for a little over 4 years, I moved onto my next opportunity.

From 2006-2015, I was lucky enough to work for The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Oprah Winfrey Network when it was based in Chicago. I worked as an assistant video editor on story inserts for The Oprah Winfrey Show before working for The Oprah Winfrey Network.

Currently, I'm a contract Videographer/Video Editor at AbbVie, Inc.​, in Mettewa, IL. I shoot and edit a variety of videos for their internal ad agency, A3. I'm most passionate about the patient videos I've worked on because it reminds me that I'm working for a company that's truly changing our patients lives.

As a freelancer, I enjoy creating videos that connect companies brands with current and potential clients. I believe a compelling video is an essential tool to explain your brands mission and tell your story.

 

When I'm not shooting and editing videos, I'm spending time with my husband, Sean Halvorsen, and 2 boys, Quinn and Tyler.
